It has a high moisture content and good quality. The Kui pomelo from Fengjie has been very famous in ancient times. It was promoted as one of the famous pomelos of that time over 2000 years ago. According to the "Shu Zhi" of the Han Dynasty, "the pomelo from Kuizhou cannot be reached in Yangzhou." During the Tang Dynasty, Kui pomelo was listed as a tribute and later used by emperors. In the 15th year of the Republic of China, it was introduced to Liangping and in 1998, it was rated as one of the "Top Ten Famous pomelos" by Chongqing City.
